摘要In this talk, a brief review of some recent works on the fast multipole method in layered media is presented. We begin with analytical and numerical properties of the Green's functions in layered media for the 2-D and 3-D Helmholtz equation, then we propose the far-field expansions in layered media as a natural extension of the Graf's addition theorems for the free-space problems. The FMM algorithms induced by these far-field expansions are numerically tested for a massive number of particles, verifying both the efficiency and the accuracy compared to the classic free-space versions.

 

报告人简介:张文钟,中国科学技术大学苏州高等研究院特任副研究员,2021年在南卫理公会大学取得博士学位。主要研究方向为基于深度学习的高维偏微分方程数值算法、分层介质中的多体散射问题等。主要工作发表在SIAM J. Sci. Comput.SIAM J. Numer. Anal.J. Comput. Phys.等学术期刊上。
